LncRNA & Epigenetic Regulation in Stem Cell and Development
We aim to understand 1) how epigenetic mechanisms are guided by and interact with signaling pathways, line age specific regulatory proteins and/or noncoding RNAs to define cellular states in development and disease; 2) how the noncoding portions of the genome help to shape epigenetic landscapes and regulate gene expression. We focus on the following areas in stem cell biology: 1) Epigenetic regulation mediated by polycomb proteins; 2) Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in chromatin and transcription regulation; 3) Regulatory networks of protein, DNA and RNA interactions in cell fate determination.
